APASENTH is a registered charity which provides local care and support services for disabled children, vulnerable people with Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health and Dementia of all ages, frail older people including people from the Black and Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities with functional mental illness as well as their parents and carers.
Post: PROJECT LEADER, CHILDREN AND FAMILY ZONE (Ref: A/CFZ/MAR/12)
Salary: £21,752 P/A Including LWA
Hours: 37.5 Hours Per week
We are looking for an organised and experienced Project Leader for our Children and Family Zone.
The Project works with parents/carers and in partnership with Statutory and Voluntary sector organisations
to engage and facilitate parental involvement in the development, assessment and provision of their
children aged 0-16yrs with special needs. You will be required to provide on-going support to
parents/carers on an individual and support group basis to ensure the challenging demands of their child(s) needs
are being met as well as placing support for the parent/carer.
You will need to possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure you develop an
effective working relationship with our beneficiaries. A minimum of 1 year experience of working with
Parents/Carers is also required.
Section 5(2) d of the Race Relations Act 1976 apply
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and subject to a
CRB disclosure check.
