The Children and Family Zone
The services aim to support children in Tower Hamlets who have Special Needs and their parents and carers.
There are a high number of Asian/Bangladeshi children within the Borough who have additional needs which consist of learning delays, hearing impairments, physical disabilities and challenging behaviour that presents challenges to the child and the family.
The external obstacles of language and cultural differences these children and their families face difficulties in accessing in areas such as education and health, the project helps to maintain meaningful relationships with schools and professional agencies involved with the child.
